The main artery of the Yawanawa, on the banks of which are all 17  villages (aldeia), is El Rio Gregorio, a tributary in the far Western Amazon River ecosystem. All goods, people, changes, flow along this river. The Yawanawa Indigenous Reserve is 220,00ha (500 million acres), and 98%intact rainforest…but 98% of everything happens along the Gregorio.
